San Mai Bird and Trout

This blade was forged by Kyle Hershey. It's a very nice little bird and trout tapered san mai blade. I got it through a little horse trading (and some begging and pleading) and finished it out with some some dyed box elder with black liners. Thanks again Kyle....

Anyways thought you guys might wanna see a couple pics even tho they're kinda washed out.

Hard to take pics of this one, but the core is 52100. Outer is 1095 I believe, but not sure. Wicked the way the contrast works. Almost looks like the outer layer is peeled back. Kyle does great work. Heres a better pic of just the blade.
