Just finished this one. My partner at work wanted a knife "very similar" to a Randal Model 3, but in cable damascus. I've had nothing but problems getting good results with heat treating cable, so went with a San-Mai of nickle/cable and an 0-1 center core. He had a Randal catalog from 1966 that showed the Model three he never ordered (and has regretted ever since), $25. My how things have changed! Let me know what you think.

As much as I like Randalls, this one of yours is better looking than any randall I have seen. Love that damascus.

As a Randall collector, I'll have to say this much, 'Nicely executed!'

Now, if I can only get you to make one of each RMK model for us in your special blend of steel... ;)

I love this knife. So much so, that I am going to suggest that you change your avatar photo to one of this knife. :)

Sweet Clint! Thats got to be your best piece yet. Do you have any of your billet left?

Hugh

I've always loved the model 3. Your Cable Damascus version is just plain HOT!!!

Well done!!!

Wow, are you guys generous with the compliments on this one! Didn't think it would be that big a hit. Anyway, thanks very much. Hugh, since it seems like popular stuff, I'll sell you what I have left of this billet, for twice the normal price! :D

That is one stunning blade. Probably the most beautiful damascus I've ever seen. The first pic looks like a moonrise over ocean waves. Incredibly cool. Well done, sir.

Clint I'm not even a Randall fan.., but I do like the Model 3..., and that knife is totally gorgeous! Nice pictures too! Thanks....

Clint!
Very...VERY NICE!! I like this one alot!, the damascus is superb!! the overall package is the way randal should have made them. sorry randal fans, but I like this one!

Very nice, Clint. The first thing I did when I saw the picture was to suck in my breath. Great damascus pattern.

Fantastic work.

I second all the praise!:)

One minor aesthetic thing...Might put the logo on the other side, so the blade in the logo points the same way as the actual blade.

Boy, you guys are giving me a swelled head. Thanks again for all your compliments. Ferris Wheel, I never considered putting my mark on the opposite side so that everything is in "alignment." I may try it out.
