Wow Bill ! That is stunning mate. Looks like clouds to me. A cutting storm a brewing ( sorry, couldn't help myself ) Love the handle What are the components of that.
Cheers Keith

That is nice looking. Is that two separate materials for the handle, or is it a surface coating?

Keith, the handle is Sheephorn and blackwood, there are internal pins holdimg the two pieces together and then the pins holding the handle to the tang.

Very nice Bill, you still tend to amaze me with your ability to make knives. Now shooting on the other hand you could use some practice.

thanks EriK now can you remind me who has taken home the Quigley knife makers trophy the last three years? Oh and how many straight eight pins have you got?:D:D

Hey Bruce, Thanks Mate.

Very very nice Bill! Yin-Yang was the first thing that hit me when the photo opened.

To see the diversity, range, and overall growth you've built-up/achieved as a bladesmith since I met you when I was 18 is awe inspiring my friend...!!! :)

Bill, you're really killing it here. Another knive I LOVE! Not sure what I'm more impressed by, the handle or the coolest san mai I've ever seen.

Very well done.

Thanks guys for looking I really appreciate it.

the handle was pretty straight forward but getting the shadows in the blade to swoop without exposing too much of the core was a chore. I know what I did thinking this would be the result but I have to do it again using the same technique before I will say it was on purpose and not just a happy accident!!!!
