Hey guys, long time that I have been trying to do and so far had fracazado. Probably look like a common mai san, but it is quite difficult.
To do this I had to use very large thicknesses of 410 and less of 52100
The blade measures 230 mm and the total length is 365 mm.
The handle is stabilized redwood.
Here I show the photos.
Best regards.
Claudio

impressive! To say the least!

BEAUTIFUL work Claudio! The blade looks fantastic and that redwood is exceptional too.

That's class all the way. Very nicely done. Love the way that you kept the center bar of the San Mai so straight & centered and your fit & finish is exemplary!

Wow, that couldn't have been easy. I really like the way the core is visible in the butt of the knife. Excellent work.

I love how the core is visible all of the way around the knife. That knife is really special!
