Wow that looks really nice. It has a real graceful shape.
4 hours! my knives are taking 60+ haha.
I like your style, especially that san mai fighter. If you don't mind me asking, how did you finish the blades on this knife and the san mai fighter?

Thanks physh.. the blade is hand sanded to 600 grit and then etched in ferric chloride for about 5 minutes. Then hand rubbed with some mothers polish.. pretty simple actually.. The reason these dont take too long is because there is very little handle work involved.. once the blade is complete a handle wrap can be done in about 30 minutes.. These are very fun to make.. I love the san mai and seeing the weld pattern come alive when they are etched.. The big challenge is getting a active pattern and maintaining an even/ballanced appearance on both sides of the blade. I'll be making some more.. I have some ideas incorporating some 15n20... stay tuned.

Wow! Very beautiful knife! Do you ever let people watch you forge or work? I live in Irvine, California and have always wondered how people forge and get such clean lines and have always been curious about the whole process! Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments guys..
