Had fun making this one. Damascus is 1095 and nickel with core being 1095. I call the Damascus ribbon San Mia. All fittings are and blade are my Damascus and handle is African Blackwood. Blade is 10 1/8 inches long with knife being 15 1/2 inches overall. It is 1/4 inch thick at riccasso and has a distal taper to point. Hope you nice folks like it.

Beautiful!
If it could be called the mother of all san mai, wouldn't it then be called "Mamma Mia?"
Seriously, it's beautiful. Love the elegant line.

Excellent Dan.Love that pattern but its the guard that pulls it all together for me.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Now to make some more Damascus and continue the cycle. At least it is starting to cool off.

It's a wish or dream to one day, be there to see in person how a knife like that is made. It must be hours and days of hands on skilled refinement

Very nice overall. I like the blade shape, reminds me of some of Don Fogg's pirate type blades.
The damascus really "pops' visually.

Very very nice package. The damascus really looks good - that is one long lean looking blade. I really like the way the blade, furniture and handle all come together - it really flows nicely.
