Flying down south to a city for xmas break. I have it lined up to get my BK1 grips/handles/scales whatever you call them, to be blasted. Anyone do this before? Use fine grit? Coarse? How did it come out? I'm actually growing to like the grips and will be satisfied with a slightly less slippery surface. I am also going to file the swedge? or upper couple of inches, before the hammer point, into a cutting edge also. I've read somewhere here that you can use a standard Bastard Mill File for this procedure. Correct?
Adendum: I grabbed an axe sharpening file, rough one side/fine the other. In about 20 minutes I had the top few inches of my knife super sweet. Nothing to it really.
