Blade is 10 1/2 inches of flat ground 5160 with a ferric chloride wash for a slightly antique look. Handle is desert iron wood scales on a tapered tang with three SS pins. Over all length is 15 3/4 inches. Sheath is 8/9 oz leather with acid etched and aged mild steel throat and tip. This is not intended to be a copy or replica of the origonal sandbar knife just simply my rendition of it.
Thanks For Looking

That is a beautiful blade. Between the simple elegance of the sandbar design, the ruggedness of 5160, and the antiqued class of the sheath, you have a real winner there.

Your rendition looks good. It would be very difficult to make a replica of the original sandbar knife, since no one is sure of what it looked like.

Thanks Keith, you're absolutely right, since I used the title sandbar bowie I didnt want to leave the impression of making a copy for the obvious reasons
