Hi there, I very rarely comment on this site-as I just do not have the luck-nor money to own such nice custom pieces, I have many nice Solingen, Al Mar, mainly Solingen Bowies..BUT...the customs are a area in which I want to go loose on ..( if only $$$$ )
I like the knife immensley-but immediately didnt go with the colour of the sheath...down the track with use it would not look good...but the main topic of course is the knife!!...wow!! thumbs up here from New Zealand!!
How do we find out just what such knives go for in money terms?..PLEASE forgive me for such a rude question.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the feedback! I too was a little hesitant on the light colored sheath, but it kinda grows on you. This is a great chance for some help too...my customer wanted to try a "Desert Tan" color (Which I think is a GREAT idea, since it is headed to Phoenix, AZ). This knife is going to be a user and I think the sheath will look cool with some battle scares on it!

I quickly discovered that I could not find Kydex and G-10 that matched close enough for my taste? So I decided to find colors that are included in a "Desert Camo" pattern. Does anyone know where to get matching colors other than black? I got the G-10 from the awesome people at Halpern Titanium and the Kydex from Alpha Knife Supply.

This forum is such a great resource, thanks everybody!!!

Mike

Is there a trick to getting the swedge grind to line up that perfectly, or is it just magic? ;)

I find if you use a good belt and hold your left eye just a little bit wider than you right it makes all the difference! Of course I'm right handed, so you might have to reverse the process if you're a south-paw?:D

wow!!

i like the color of the sheath, matches the desert pattern nicely.

knife looks to have spectacular fit/finish. i especially like the 1911 hammer style jimping!
