I'm curious as to input from those who have sanded down textured G-10 scales--what kind of results did you get-do you recommend doing it? I'm thinking of this or possibly new scales for a ZT 0200. Just looking for input about doing this.

Thanks for any feedback.

I sanded down the scales of my 0200, and love it now. No more fighting to get it out of my pocket, and it's very comfortable in hand. I've got pics somewhere, let me see if I can find them...

edit: found one
Bear in mind that I had been up for 30 hrs when I decided to do this...I wasn't thinking neat, I just wanted it smooth, NOW. Rather than sandpaper, or even a fine grit on my belt sander, I put a coarse grinding wheel on the Dremel. It could look a lot better, and I've thought about buying another one (or a set of scales), and redoing it...but I use this knife, carry it all the time, and it's comfortable.

Oh, if/when you decide to sand yours down - wear a mask!

Heck HH, I think that looks pretty good. At least it gives me and idea of sort of what to expect--thanks for the tip on the mask!
