Sanding or filing down grivory hot spots?

I’ve taken down sharp edges on lots of polymer handles. I usually use very fine papers, though, so as not to leave rough grit lines.
 
It wouldn’t match the factory finish but you can you fine grit and then wet sand to smooth things out.
 
I did it to my CF elite shootout. Looks fine, especially after some pocket crap and key ring polishing.
 
Remember to work slow or with water to prevent the plastic from heating up and melting and grabbing the the grit.
