I recently saw a video post by Koenig Knives on IG of the craftsman using stones with what appeared to be a vibratory tool attached to the stone for use during the process.

Anyone have any information on what stones and kind of tool this may be?

Can you recommend any?
Boride abrasives

I can second that recommendation! Though I've undoubtedly spent far less time than many others sanding with these stones, I have used them quite a bit and they are wonderful, even on hardened and tempered 20CV (sanding from as-milled texture, going from 120 to about 1200 grit). I didn't opt in for any special holders, though, I keep meaning to look into them.

I checked out their options…many! 😳 sent in a request to their product specialist for a hand held setup starting around 220-320 through 1000 but if any of you have a specific set in mind for hardened stainless, I’m all ears 👂!
