I've got a full-sized BM Griptilian that I love but when I put my hand in my pocket the the ridges on the spine of the handle up by the clip don't feel that great on my hand. For, they serve no purpose either.

What is the best way to smooth those ridges out without making the knife look completely ghettoriffic?

It's an orange handle.

if it were my knife, i would take a very sharp small knife, and cut them off flush with the rest of the handle. i'm no expert though, lets see what everyone else says.

I was thinking the same thing after looking at it some more. I think it may be a little easier to control if I use to knife to shave them down rather then trying to sand. I'll mull it over a bit and see if anyone else chimes in.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Not a bad thought either. I'm going to mess aroudn with the knife in a vice and see how that works. I'll try a few different methods. Very slowly of course :)

I have used a foam backed sanding pad to take the sharpness off some of the Noryl ridges on some of my Griptilians. It works a treat.

Sanding will a high grit paper will smooth the ridges down a little, without affecting the flat areas of the handle.

sandpaper on a fairly hard sanding pad should work. If you end up with lighter areas, some polishing will even things out. I use cloth diapers and soft metal polish.
