Sandpaper on edgepro blanks

Has anyone used wet dry sandpaper on the blanks with some double sided tape? I'm pretty sure they won't last very long, but has anyone tried it?
 
It worked fine.
I had an issue of swarf scratching the blade at low grits.
I would use them if I want a polished edge.
 
I have had great results using psa lapping film like that. Excellent for putting a convex micro bevel on a V-grind
 
Thanks, gave me another direction to look. I can buy the sheets and cut themto size for much less than buying them from other retailers
