I used sandpaper on my Sharpmaker rods for the first time and it worked great.
My new Endura G10 came with a bit of an uneven grind, especially near the tip.
Used a black sharpie to mark the edges and then tried 220 grit oxide wrapped around the ceramic rods. In no time the edges were fixed. Finished up with the brown & white rods and it's now perfect. This impresses me as a terrific alternative to buying diamond rods. I read about this technique on this forum. Just want to say thanks for all the knowledge shared around here.
