Sandvik steel?

Is it similar to AUS8? As seen on some Kershaw knives.
I don't have problems with AUS8.

Sandvik is the name of a company not a steel. They make various steels for knives and other things. They include 12C27, 13C26 and 19C27 IIRC.

Kershaw will be changing their basic blade steel to 14C28N in the future.

Post #45 confirms it. It is a steel made just for Kershaw (per their specs) by Sandvik. I think the composition is somewhere in the thread.

Sharpens eaiser and lasts just as long. I really like how Kershaw makes 13C26 perform.
