Sandy hurricane

Fine in Missouri and the trip back from Ethan's Fall Gathering was uneventful. Wondering if Arkanian made it back home OK though...

got power here, but outages all around. CT looks hit hard again.
Unfortunately everyone else in my office is mostly offline so it looks like I have to hold down the fort - I'd rather be out cutting...

Here in philly we had alot of rain and some high winds. some roads closed as well.yesterday the sky was black all day. our power went on and off a few times. but this morning it looks brighter than yesterday did all day. hope everyone stays safe and dry.

Flooding and power outages all throughout. My block was fine amidst the mess, but downed trees are everywhere. I swear the wind was so strong, I've never experienced anything like this before. I think it was maxed at 70mph in my area according to weather.com...

Well I'm up in the ADK's for College, but my moms house in NJ has some pretty bad wind damage, downed trees, lines, etc. Nobody I know got hurt so far so counting my blessings. Good luck to all you guys that got hit bad.

Had some exploding transformers up the road from me. A bunch of power outages. Otherwise just some down branches.

got stuck by broken plane, excuses, and storm. good times though.

Lost power up here in Maine for a few hours. Friends had a big maple tree blow down onto their house (sturdy old house took it, with only relatively minor cosmetic damage.... a tip of the hat to old school carpenters and real building materials).

A good opportunity to open up a bottle of mead and keep warm....

So far so good for me. A few downed tree here in Brooklyn but the city got it pretty hard. Major flooding in low lying areas

I am very sorry that you people up north had to go threw that mess. I just thank god it didnt hit here in florida. I live in a double wide mobil home. if something like that hit here I would have lost my house.

I spent my first 20 years in florida, went thru many hurricanes and tropical storms. andrew was about the worse one i can remember, and i went thru them all in a double wide. florida has strict regulations for mobile homes due to the hurricanes. there were houses that lost roofs, right next to mobile homes that only lost siding!

Well, Sandy claimed a life as far inland as NW Ohio. Just found out the office manager (and close personal friend) of our insurance agent was killed in a car accident involving black ice. The agency belonged to my father-in-law until he passed, so my inlaws have been very close to her for over 20yrs. Its amazing that a storm hundreds of miles away can still cause problems and claim lives. Please keep my wife and the friends family in your thoughts and prayers
