A few weeks before Blade in Atlanta, I asked Mi Amigo "Sandy" (Martin Morrissey), if he could possibly make a sheath for a knife I had just finished. He said "sure, send it to me". He also said that he could show the knife and sheath at A.T. Barr's table at Blade if I wanted. Wow! Absolutely Sandy! Come to find out, that not only did Sandy make one sheath to show, but in fact made THREE beautiful sheaths to show with my knife. Because of it's handle, Sandy named my knife "The Mesquite Mistress", a name that stuck. All future knives of this style will carry that name, unless of course the handle material is different. I recently finished photographing the three sheaths, and added an additional photo of each that I felt was an accent of that sheath. I'm hoping that Sandy my join in to tell you the particulars of each, but needless to say, I was delighted with what he came up with. Three entirely different sheaths, 3 different patterns, and 3 different styles of closure. Thanks Mi Amigo! Your art is magnificiant!

Beuatiful knife and the leatherwork is wonderful. I really like that first one. Love the handle on your knife. Just looks like it wants to be held.

I was lucky eonough to meet Sandy for the first time at this years Blade show and spend some time walking around and talking with him. What a fantastic guy!!! One of the nicest folks I've ever met (funny as heck too) in a landscape of some of the nicest people in the world. He brought me over to AT Barr's table (of whom I was also thrilled to meet) and showed me these three sheaths and the beautiful knife that went with them. Sandy's workmanship is phenomenal, I don't know how else to say it. Just phenomenal. What a great set to match such a wonderful knife. My hat's off to you both.
