Sanrenmu 710 Review: My opinion on this cheap gem

So, I got a new knife just a little bit ago and I love it. It's the SRM 710, which I received for about $20 after shipping :(. The knife is not to bulky, yet a little weighty. The length is that of a Case Sodbuster JR. When received it was sharp as a razor. The locking mechanism is a frame lock, which is my favorite type do to its strength. The one I got has the grip, which I feel is useless but whatever. The pocket is very solid so I can do running and jumping around without worrying too much. There is also a lanyard hole which fits seven-strand 550 cord, which is a plus. I also heard about mods that people did, but can't find any. I heard about toughthumbz (?) on Youtube that modified it, yet can't find it. Anyone know any mods for it? All in all I give the knife 4.5 out of 5 stars.

New question: does anyone know how to get rid of the grip stuff?

Here are some mod pics I found. It's a nice little knife.

there are vids on youtube on stonewashing the knife and the handle which makes it look pretty awesome, and its very inexpensive. The 710 really is a great knife, I've had mine for 2 years and it is still perfectly centered and the lockup is very impressive, $20 well spent.
