Santa arrived in January this year thanks to Uncle Bill...

It arrived today boys...the famous triangle box!
My 1st HI Khukuri - a Sgt Karka Villager.
I cannot get over the heft of this thing compared to my 12.9oz elcheapo Sirupati? A totally different beast!

A Special Thanks again Uncle Bill for the recommendation & STELLAR service, I feel like a kid with a new toy. Kudos to Sgt. Karka for producing such a fine piece of craftmanship...I think I've caught a case of HIKV indeed!!

Finally had some time to try 'er out...
Split some hickory and oak pieces into kindling; much easier than expected.
One things for certain, you definitely get better chopping
results with the heft and a keen edge. I love it!!!
After splitting 2-3 good-size (3"-4") pieces, I checked the edge and still Sgt. Karka sharp.
I think it's time to put the kindling axe away for a while...
