Santa Claus present from Finland arrived

I'm a believer now, I come from Holland and most of the Dutch have Sinterklaas, December 5 when everybody gives each other presents. The real Christmas presents by Santa Claus on Christmas eve is not as popular.
But I turned around, yesterday I found my Cold Steel Master Hunter from the generous Santa Claus from Finland in my mail.

One question I have left, Santa Claus said that it was a Carbon V master Hunter but I see that it has "Cold Steel, Inc Ventura Calif MADE IN JAPAN " on the blade.
I always thought that Carbon V blades had the CARBON V logo etched on the blade and also that Carbon V knives were made in the USA?
Am I correct?, I don't really want to stick the blade in a lemon to see if the blade is Carbon V or the AUS-8 version.

My Master Hunter will be used by our Scouting youngsters as a learning knife for cutting, making "fire trees" (shave dry wood to make kind of christmas tree structure with curled wood that burns fast to get fire starting) and so on.

just emptied my mailbox and received a beautifull Benchmade 330 with beautifull Malachite grip plates and a Mother of pearl spacer. Oh so gorgeous it's exactly the right size for my purse.
Staba-San thank you very much for this early Christmas present.
