So first I want to say another thank you to all the Busse folks for the chance to win a prize! I had been spying the BWM since it came out. I am new to the Busse program mainly because I never liked the big stuff. I think I have been missing out!!!

This knife flat out rocks. Frozen birch trees are no match for this knife. It sailed through like nothing. Rock solid frozen knots busted in half with 1 blow. I think I am going to trim this piece down and make a little strop paddle out of it. Kinda hard to find the nice hardwoods some of you have access to around here. The BWM showed no intial chipping of the blade and it is still shaving sharp. I really like this thing. The Mashed Cat pants fit very nicely as well.

Nice pics and congrats on the score. A BWBM paired with an S5LE is a very versatile combo to take into the woods with you. That's one of my favorite pairings.

Great way to get started for sure with a bwbm. You must start at the top and work your way down huh.

I won the 175 credit. The S5 with this beast is gonna be great. There is nothing here in Alaska that I couldnt do this with this pair. The BWM kinda makes me feel like I could leave my 45/70 guide gun behind and just take it for bears.... Just kidding!

Congrats on a great Busse and thanks for sharing the pics. Looks like from the pics you don't have a lot of snow cover, have you had much snowfall this year?

:D:D

It is a very low snow year. I live by the water so we frequently get good warm ups that melt the snow away.

Thanks for the comments everyone. So after the chopping
yesterday I got home and gave this about 30 passes per side on a strop
and it was scary sharp again. I will add that I cut alot more
of that tree I just quit posing for pics. This thing is badass.
I feel comfortable leaving my axe home.
