The recent Santaganzaa was an amazing time and I was one of the fortunate ones who scored the knife they picked. I scored SG10, the orange handled Scrapper 5 SE. I thought that I had gotten very lucky and had gotten a free knife. Boy was I wrong. This new knife ended up costing me a fortune. Upon receiving the Orange handled beauty I knew I had to have a folder to carry with it. Only reasonable solution to this was an orange handled XM-18. After a miserable time waiting for someone to respond to my WTB thread I got a hit. I am now the proud owner of a 2nd Gen XM-18. What a great combo these seem to make.

Thanks a lot Busse. Your generosity has gone too far!! Thanks again for the great Ganzaa, it was a blast!

Also, another special thanks to David Brown, who after offering to free me of my Ganzaa score offered to make me one of his great sheaths for a small fee. I agreed and now have an excellent sheath that has been very comfortable to carry the blade in.

I can help you alleviate some of the Funds-a-low syndrome buy buying that Orange S5 from you :)

Funds-a-low, but spirits(read BAC) are high. I respectfully decline your generous offer. Thanks again for the sheath. I carried the S5 all weekend in it and it was very comfortable.

Those orange mudders are a thing of beauty. I hope more of those trickle out of the shop.

Great looking knives and amazing looking piece of Kydex. Havent got any kydex for my busses yet only because I am used to leather :P

This is actually my first Kydex sheath that I have used. I like it.

Awesome grab!

I really like the orange handles. All you need now is an Orange Warden:cool:

Ha, that Hinderer looks sharp!@ Hows the edge?

I love theem OJ's too!

I will find out how they carry together tomorrow. Though the S5 is bigger than I typically carry to work, with the kydex set up the way it is it rides high and is extremely comfortable. I luckily have a job where knives are more common than pens and if anyone spotted it they would only ask to see it, so I will see how it does tomorrow as an EDC. Just need an OJ Game Warden and an ASH-1/FSH with orange handles and ill be set.....

nice combo. I tested a non fliper large hinderer with orange scale. Very nice.

But that orange mudder handle le is one of a kind.

WOW, That scrapper is nice but I am really drooling over the XM-18.

That aint no ordinary 18, thats full on custom right, Hand ground by Rick?

Those are soooo much nicer than the midtech blades he uses now.

Congrats on 3 very fine scores there jd, you must be doing something right.

That is my understanding of the knife. Gen 2 going by the name engraved on the blade, hand ground by Rick. I carried it today for the first time. I found myself playing with it a good bit throughout the day and constantly looking for something new to cut. I am glad it is the flipper version. I really enjoy that option for opening.
