This is my latest chef knife. I got some input on the shape of the blade, the rest is all me. W2 with damascus moon setting into the hamon, 416 ss bolster, stablized red wood burl, this is my 3rd chef knife. what do you think? thanks for looking.

Wow! Great concept, executed nicely. Looks like a Moon setting on the water.

is that ever cool!

I think it's absolutely gorgeous and the "moon" is just too very cool.

I think it looks great. Love the damascus moon setting on the hamon . Fantastic idea

That is probably my favorite kitchen knife that I have seen posted on this forum. It's great to see originality like that damascus moon.

The blade and stuff looks GREAT....I could do without the penis head on the end.:D

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

All I use in the kitchen is a Santokou.. The blade looks a bit taller (edge-to-spine) than what I usually use, so Id have to fondle it to see how it works.. Its an absolutely gorgeous piece of work though.. Awesome job..

I really like that! I have to admit that STeven's anatomical reference has tempered my original enthusiasm.....;)

Thanks all for the kind words. I might do the handle a little different on the next one. and there will be a next one as I had a good time making this one.
