Sanu gets his bonus!

I for one am very happy to know about Sanu's bonus- he has made my two favorite knives!

Surya, Chandra, Tara ( Sun, Moon, and Stars ) has those symbols and others hot forged into the blade. When I draw it from it's scabbard I feel like I'm Arthur drawing Excalibur from the stone.

It is a Sanu Forward Curving.
 
I rate Sanu as the number two kami next to Bura. If he keeps going he is going to become one of the very best and I have high hopes he will do just this.

One of my best friends recently asked that Sanu make him a khukuri -- Sanu could decide the design and size. What we got was astounding. Sadly, I did not take a picture of it in my hurry to get it to my friend.

My friend's response upon receipt of the khukuri was, "I love to see creativity in humans!"

Bura may be better, but the Sanu made khuks have a palpable spirit in them to me. Not saying that Bura's don't, just that the two that I handled may have been meant for a different owner.
 
One thing I like about Sanu is he is very creative and he pushes the envelope more than any kami in the shop. Kumar is second in these aspects.

Bura is very traditional and seldom strays from traditional models. But, what he does is always perfect or as close as one can get doing it the hard way.
