Well, It is official, 4 of 5 of my HI blades were made by Sanu. Coincidentally, all but one of the Sanu blades were purchased second market from forumites:

Sanu YCS - D7Reamers
Sanu HI Falcatta - Bill Marsh
Sanu AK Bowie - Geraldo

So it must be some kind of Sanu thing, that I am to wind up with many blades from him. Having seen his work on the above projects, plus my 15" Sanu villager, I must say he does great work! and what a diverse bunch of HI knives for him to work on! Obviously he's a jack-of-all-khuks, able to do most of the designs HI offers.

Good show Sanu, and thanks!

Keith

Sanu does do good work. I find little things on the Sanu khuks I have that earmark his work. Not defects just little things like the way he does the bevels especially near the tip. As another forumite once said " Sanu has da skilz".

My little JKM-1 by Sanu is beautifully forged with a distal taper toward the point, and toward the end of it's full tang. It winds up putting the center of mass right at the balance point of the knife, making the little booger float like a feather in my hand in spite of it's obvious stoutness. Yup, he's got skills with a hammer all right.:D

its nice to tell....but ....better to show and tell dont be a tease post up some pics of your Sanu Sanu Sanu:D

I think Sanu may have gone back to work with his Dad. Dad has a very brisk business making tools for carpet industry. If Sanu sees a chance of getting part of the business he's going to take it. He is not oldest boy but things happen.

I'll have some pix later today, but will hafta find someone to post them.

Thanks for the update on sanu, Uncle.

Maybe Tsimi, has started buying carpet tools so he can have EVERYTHING Sanu AND his family have made.......

The cave is quite large after all.:p
