SAR 3 EDC carry?

I got me a new SAR 3, pumpkin scales, sweet looking knife! I bought it with the intent of EDCing it. I have a mashed cat kydex with it, but wondered if anyone had any recommendations on front pocket carry. I was looking at some of the Knives Ship Free (KSF) leather pocket fixed blade sheaths. Anybody know if it will fit the SAR 3, or have recommendations otherwise?
 
Can't really help with the KSF question but I am sure one of the leather guys on the forum could whip something up for you. Leatherman or Chuddybear could do something pretty sweet I bet. Doesn't hurt to ask them.

I have a chuddy leather set up for mine and it's very nice. a bit thick for front pocket but it wasn't designed for that either. He could hook you up for sure.
 
I carried one, front right pocket, for a while - used a kydex pancake-style sheath, flat and square-shaped. It worked out very well. The sharp ridges of the micarta slabs caused wear problems though, so I've since switched back to a thin GW.
 
Leatherman makes a sheath with a pocket/belt clip that would fit the bill. I've had several, but never one for a sar 3.

Meant to post pics of the above combo but my computer is acting up on me.
I think the biggest pocket sheath is gonna fit nicely with an inch or so protruding from the top. I carry my BRKT Fox River in the biggest pocket sheath and the SAR 3 is a shorter blade, same with.
I just got a pocket sheath for my Busse Game Warden from Paul Long, well worth it............... a beautiful deep pocket ride sheath.

Thanks knutelut, I went ahead and ordered the KSF sheath and it fits perfectly. Very knife sheath for the price and fits the SAR 3 like it was made for it!
 
No worries, I am a super-slow photographer and uploader, spend too much time looking at knives rather than photographing them:)

I have a front pocket sheath for my mbc made by leatherman, I couldn't recommend his work enough.
 
+1 for pocket carry. I rock a concealex sheath on my pumpkin game warden, but because it has to share realestate with my wallet and phone I wrapped the sheath in paracord so it wouldn't abrade everything all to hell. Also it means I have emergency paracord. :P
