I just finished the first ever International Knife maker Build off going on elsewhere. It should have some features in the upcoming blade as well as the knives being showcased on a table at blade 07.

"First of all thanks to all involved for putting this on, funny what a little pressure will push a guy to do.

I remember back when this started I was worried about what kind of sheath I could produce, to me kydex just was not the standard. So I conceived doing a wood sheath and the nail bitting started from the time I ordered it to today. I step way outside of my box to do this piece and feel pretty good about the product produced.

I decided to build the Zen garden to do the photo work and I think it really showcase's the work and captures the theme. The japanese Kanji is the complete sybol for "Dragon fly"

Anyways enough of me spouting on with the specs and pics"

Well, allow me to be the first to commend you on this. I have heard inklings of this contest but I know little more. Glad to hear of it's inclusion in a magazine.

Nope, not your usual SAR knife at all. I am pleased for you. Very nice presentation as well.

Congrats!

Interesting blend of traditional (wood, dragonfly, wrapping) and modern (damascus, grinds, hardware) touches. That piece of wood is amazing!

Hey Spence! That is a fantastic piece bro! You should step out of the box more often. Impressive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mike and ManuelaWhille I'm thinking about it, Spirit of Steel is getting closer. We need to kill a couple more of those Steaks over at Bass Pro! See you in Hot Lanta.

That is absolutely breath-taking. Excellent work and congratulations on stepping outside your box, it turned out beautifully.
