I started the SAR-Ducci Mod today and instead of waiting until the end, I thought I would add pictures as I go (I won't hold out on you like Jerry and the Zilla Z). I have contoured the handle sort of similar to a SHBA plus dropped the tip some and re-rounded it. I left the black G10 handles on for now so I could get a feel for the grip of the handle for now. I will probably change them to micarta when I'm done with the contour. At this stage, it kind of reminds me of a Ergo handle knife. Let me know what you think so far.............

I like it better than the original Ducci. If it were me though I might just stop right there and not drop the point but I kind of like a lil up sweep compared to the shba.

Definitely looks nice but I think personally the SAR4 handle is more for me. the palm swell on the original badgers never felt 'at home' like the slight curve of the SAR4.

It does look great though!

Looks cool Tim.

I think you need to take some more of the butt where the hole on the SHBA is to make it look more proportional.

Like the dropping poind, original handle feels nice to me but yours looks comfortable also.
Cheers for photos, nice mods.

Also feel that an enlarged choil would be nice as to handling.

I like that. I'd like it more with the exact same SHBA contours on the belly.
Great job Ducci!

Wow Tim, it's already looking pretty good! Can't wait to see what it looks like in the end...

Nice work so far. I really like the look of the handle now. You got some good grinding skills and vision mate.

What's next, little off the butt, more drop to the point of the blade?

Excellent work, Randucci, love the way it turned out. I wish some of these were at BCS . . .

Looks pretty good. I like the original better but I have never held one of those badgers so I cant say if that handle is more comfortable. I def like the curves in it. Good job.
