I have been wondering to myself how much more comfortable the SAR handle would be if it tapered to about 1/8 inch wider at the butt end of the handle on each slab. I bet it would add some character too, to an already awesome blade.

I think that would be a nice handle on the SAR8. Does anyone else think that it would improve the straight / flat handle slab of the SAR design.

I guess theres no chance of this ever really happening .. :) ?

Sounds good to me.
Lately I've been finding that one of the most desirable attributes to a handle is that it widens at the butt. So far I only have one knife that gets significantly wider and thicker at the end of the handle (Kerhaw Offset), along with the handle being generally very shapely I do like that attribute of it.
If the SAR were to get thicker at the end I would want it to get slightly thicker at the front as well.

I definitely think this change should be put into effect with a run or CG SAR-8's.:D
