For my uses (General camp chores), by far this is the best from the factory angle/grind I have had to date from Busse.

I have re-profiled all that I have had so far (BATAC/Shaker/Basic 5) to get them to their optimal (IMO) cutting efficiency - but not so with the SAR.

As soon as I got it tonight, I went out back to take it for a test drive to see how it would do in Fire prep - Batonned some sections off some of last season's wood (Not sure what it was - it was seasoned and the bark had come off) and then tried it out on making some wood curls - they were so tight - caught to flame off a fire steel

Wood curls are tighter on it than my re-profiled BATAC - and the BATAC is quite impressive BTW ;)

The Low grind is prrrrrrfect for the stuff I primarily use my blades for - Can't wait to see how it does skinning a deer this weekend (that is if the Lord let's me take one with the bow)

I've always liked the choils - but that extra inch or so (in comparison with the BATAC) on the blade really came in handy on batonning.

I love the weight/ profile - the whole deal.

I can honestly say - this is the first blade that I have no intention of re-profiling - might not sound like much of a claim, but I do my fare share of wood working - and this is a milestone.

This ones a keeper :)

Sorry guys - wish I could post pics, but still having issues with my home computer :(.
