Anyone else got a SAR?
I just received one and I can't put it down!

VERY comfortable, perfect fit for my hand, great blade length, very strong . . . :thumbup:



I know these were designed for a SAR group, but does anyone have the specifics of where the knife came from, and for whom it was designed/to whom it was first sold?

Beautiful design. I can't answer any of your questions but I have one of my own: SAR = Search and Rescue?
 
As far as I know, the first eight, SAR Rats (sterile) were sold (by 360Joules) at the 2005 Washington State
SAR Conference, in Leavenworth, WA.

I love my SAR. It's one of my dedicated truck knives (along with a Ratweiler), which says a lot.

I've carried this thing everywhere in the past few days.

How many were made of each coating?
 
Sweet blade!

I've never owned one, but got to handle one at Blade and that thing is a beast.
