I received my SAR3 SE from the company store a couple of days ago and I am impressed! I love the black canvas micarta and have it on all my Busse knives. The new SAR3 SE has a much thinner blade profile grind than the one I bought off of e-bay a few months ago. My slightly older SAR3 tip profile is like a miniature version of the profile on my FFBM and the SAR3 SE looks more like a normal knife tip profile. There will be no desire to change the angles on the SAR3 SE as it seems to be just right. I did mod the other one to a 25 degree edge bevel as it just seemed too thick and "blunt" even when shaving sharp.
SO, the question:
The thick SAR3 is built like a crowbar that can be used like a miniature FFBM without worries but should I take it easy and treat the thinner SAR3 SE like an ordinary knife?
