Fondling my Pumpkin SAR4 before work tonight, I don't remember seeing many photos of these kick ass blades getting abused too much. Besides the guy who cut himself pretty good, has anyone else used theirs to any extent? Mine has gotten abused.....er, I guess neglected would be a better word. I haven't had time to take it out to play yet. Whoever says Busses can't cut paper straight out of the factory needs to see mine. The hair jumped off my leg at the thought of being touched by that blade.

So how bout it, can anyone put up some photo evidence of what this knife can tackle?

I wouldn't call it abuse, but cleaning/cutting a fish could ruin a knife's edge.
not the case with INFI.

and I was positively shocked how easy was filleting with the SAR4. I wouldn't expect it from a stout blade like this, but it was really great in that task, too.

I hope I can do some pics after this weekend's fishing...

GREAT PICS! I love to see a tool being used for it's intended purpose. Thanks for sharing.

I have used mine a fair bit and tested it with others on a variety of tasks...

It is second from the left on the bottom row....it works well with a firesteel for starting fires....the thumb groove file work throws good sparks....

The file notches bite deep on the steel as you can see and lighting a fire is an easy task.

It has a good allrounded ability and is good on food prep if need be....

It can chop well with a rear held grip for the size of the knife....which makes sense of the over size handle....but for me the large handle gives the knife a very rearward heavy feeling....similar to a BATAC LE....which personally I am not a fan of. It feels like the knife is sometimes wanting to fall out the back of your hand if you use it on large game hung up for skinning....it does'nt facilitate an easy light grip like you can use on other knives of similar blade length. All told I prefer the SFNO LE if I want chopping ability or a lighter knife such as a RMD or a 3B2 for more game/camp related tasks. It is a good all round option though for it's size.
