Some of you guys forced my hand, and the "Hello Kitty" was subsequently whipped out for this SAR4 LE size comparison:

THANKS! I really like the pic having a good variety of different sized blades in there helps to get an idea of the size. Wow it is alot bigger than I thought. Almost BATAC sized.

My thoughts exactly. I was thinking it'd be about the size of the Randall Fireman Special, but it is a tad larger, and much better executed than the Randall, in my opinion.

About the BATAC comment, the SAR4 LE may serve well as this year's antelope hunting knife. The CGBATAC in the photo above performed this duty extraordinarily well:

Wow! That SAR4 looks sweet! Your pics really capture the Tiger Linen !!!

I've never seen (machined)Tiger Linen before, and thats the best Tiger I have seen by far. Dangit, I was going to pass because of the thumb grooves, but I may need to reconsider that after see'ing your great pics of the slabs.

Great pics Ken:thumbup:

Lunde, it sure is a bigger knife than I had thought....how does it feel in the hand compared to a RMD if you have one?

Wow. Significantly bigger than I thought. All of a sudden, the $400 price tag is much more reasonable, huh?

WOW! (I've said that a lot with this blade.) Can't wait to get mine. Getting worried I didn't get a USPS email yet. :O

Hey Ken44, the original Cultie had tiger linen, as do the SFNOLE's.
Great pics, Lunde. Do you happen to have an SHBA and/or a BAIII you could compare with?

;)

Oh man. Now my blood is pumping. I just realized - those HOGASH scales look like mine in person. That means. . . it means. . . . the SAR4LE scales will look pretty close to THAT in person!!!!!!!!!!

Doin the peepee dance waiting for hte USPS to get it in gear.

Hey, there's no fakery permitted in my photos.

Eye balling it from the pics, I was thinking ~BA-III (ABA, DABA too :o ) size also.

I think Ken got pretty fortunate to get those handles. The two I have dont have quite that much color out in the orange portion near the edges. Nice score Lunde.

LOL

I'm not saying fakery. I'm saying that in a lot of pix, the color winds up filling in significantly. That's not the case in your photos - and it excites me!

Another great pic Ken!

WHen I saw the pic of the SAR4 in Stinky's hand,
I knew it was roughly the size of a BATAC.

Can't wait to get mine!
And I hope my linen micarta looks a soooweet as yours! :)

Thanks for the comparison shot!

.

Ken,

Great pics as always.
How about a comparison with the HG55, SHBA, BA III, & SJ ?????

piglet

Great Pic. I'm now glad I didn't pull the trigger on this one. Great looking knife, but way too close to the BATAC in size for me.

Hey Ken44, the original Cultie had tiger linen, as do the SFNOLE's.

I have those, but meant to say the first Machined Tiger Linen slabs i have seen:o
Horton said some of the latter ASHLE's had them, but I didn't notice, probaly because the many small cuts didn't show it as good as these on the SAR.

I think machined linen looks better than any of the micartas, esp on this one and the rope looking type cut.

I'm really liking this cut, best looking Tiger I have seen!!!

There is only so much action the Hello Kitty blanket can handle,,

Thats not true....the stories I could tell you of Hello Kitty branded merchandise :( The blanket pictured got off EASY on such a simple assignment as a photo, lol

Awesome comparison pics, thanks!!!!!!! Man you really know how to take good pics do you give training sessions? :)
