I got my SAR8 DC today. I am pretty happy with it. It handles deceivingly light, its more nimble in hand than i thought it would be. Just as an observation I thought it would be sharper out of the box. (i know everyone else gets theirs razor sharp, I am alone in this :) ) Love the ample handle. And almost forgot to mention how much i love the girth of the convex blade geometry.

I am eager to get outside and see what i can do with her. It definitely belongs in leather, and I will be looking to put together a sheath for it soon.

Yup, I am happy, i got another good one for sure. thank you to Busse and crew for a great knife.

Thank you, this is my first dirrect purchase, second busse, with a third right around the corner. I will work on my pic's this weekend.

I'm hearing good things about it. A fellow Hog compared it to a B9 mated with a Ferrari. So, I'm definitely looking forward to mine. Show us some use pics...

Looking forward to mine.

Ok, so here is an update, I am savoring the moment a bit so if you can bear with me. I have spent the last three hours working on the edge (i work by hand mostly), and haven't really beat this blade at all except for a short bit last night on a few pieces of wood.

This thing is amazingly sharp, and quite frankly i don't think i have ever sharpened a blade that is like this convex ground SAR8. This thing is wicked material brought to a respectable edge.

So the question that is really getting me, now that i have sharpened one (I haven't touched my AK blade and she was my first Busse blade), I can hack a nail in half and this steel won't chip? (example only no intention of cutting metal) I mean this keen razor edge is that robust really? I'm impressed so far. I am having a hard time grasping the concept of tough but razor sharp...

It PROBABLY won't chip, but if you've thinned the edge out a fair bit, it's got a decent chance of rolling on that nail. Proceed at your own risk :D
