Another new one that arrived only yesterday.... thanks to another Hog for helping me out with it....:D

Bloody hard to do this knife justice especially when time and lighting was just not working fo rme today... :(

And the Ghost SARGE.... ;) :D

I've handled the Sarge7 before. Really nice blade but I just couldn't think what I might use one for. I guess I haven't really warmed to the larger SAR range. What do you intend to do with this one? General camping blade?

Also, the '86 Grange is supposed to be a nice one!

Chris.

..... this one will probably accompany me to Africa next year, between now and then I will also get a Boss Jack and choose between the two, I know that are very different knives but really, do I need much of an excuse to buy something sharp... ;)

Nice catch. Congrats on the new blade.
.... thanks mate..!!

Nice pics mate. As always...
For some reason SARs, aside from 3 and 5, just miss something, maybe not enough of a drop point (?)

Great looking blade! Congrats on your score. I don't think you can take a bad picture, Andy, even when "time and lighting are just not working" for you.

Great photos and great knife. Love mine, sharpened by Lora, no less, and hopefully there are more 'Garth Editions' of knives to come.

Thanks guys... I guess I had some different kinds of pics in mind for this one but just could not get it all working... maybe I should have just drank the wine.....!!!!!!!

I love the handles on these designs. I have a 6 and an 8 and they're awesome. The 8 makes a great butcher blade for slicing steaks.

I just bought that same knife from a forumite on Australianbladeforums. It is in the post on its way to me right now. It was a toss up between this and a TGLB. They both look great knives but I could only afford one. The two things that swayed me towards the Sarge was the uncoated blade (will be used for food preparation) and the 10% to 20% lighter knife (according to weights taken from forumites on bladeforums). There is a concern about the grip slipping when stabbing with the Sarge but I don't envisage doing a lot of stabbing and I am willing to bet that when held correctly this concern is unfounded (and reports from forumites seems to confirm this).

Glen, I know the blade you got from Aus Blade and had I not had this one already on the way I would have snapped it up..!!!! They are very different blades for as much as they are around the same size, I do really like the Sarge...!!!!
