SARK is there a better rescue knife?

That round nose, or point I am sure is for a reason, but I personally say why, and thik the P-SARK make more sense.

The sark is a pure rescue knife. It's rounded so that when the operator cuts a seatbelt from a victim in some kind of wreck they don't cut the victim they are trying to free. The p sark is pointed so if need be it can stab but it will stab poorly, good for cops so it's not like they are carrying a Bowie style knife meant for a more lethal purpose.

That makes no sense at all........

When you are a cop, liability is associated with anything you do. If a cop had to defensively use a a folding knife, and it was something that looked like the emerson Persian, it wouldn't look very good on his part.

It's a weapon built with the purpose to penetrate and pierce deep into flesh. If it looks like the p sark, it looks like a utility knife. It is not made to be a combat folder. It was made to be a utility blade that can stab. It just won't stab like a Bowie or Persian made for fighting. It's quite simple and does make sense. Lol

Most COPS only use force to save someone be it self, or other person. The LAWYERS have for the most part never been on a Ride Along in South Central LA. if they had they would understand what a COP does for a living.

I'm aware. The world is cruel. It is what it is. If a cop had to use a knife defensively for whatever reason and it was an aggressive or fighting blade of any type, in a court the lawyer for the crooks side could use that against the officer with a claim of something like "this officer was wanting to stab somebody look at that knife he used"

Well a lawyer couldn't really say that about the utilitarian looking p sark. That's why

Well Cops I know for the most part also carry BUGS, (backup guns) and sometimes some one get your Primary Weapon, and you have no choice but to use backup devices.

So if you are worried about being in court defennding you actions, or being buried because your are dead. I would choose court.

I don't really care about it all together I was just explaining what the different sarks were designed for. That's just the truth of American society. You can have a robber break into your house and get sued for shooting the s.o.b in some states.

So you shoot to save your life because your were in a life and death situation. But you action must be justified by evidence, and it is hard to justify your had no other choice when the bad guy was 25 yards away with a knife.

Yes each action is judged in courts of law, or internal investigations by evidence.

If I was a Cop I would hope that I worked for a Police Agency that had good inservice training to keep my skills, and ability to access situations in top form, so when & if I had to make life & death decision, I had the proper training to do so.

Sad part about being a Cop is you have milliseconds to make a right decisions, that are picked apart after the fact by people who have all the time to decide if your were right or wrong in your decision.
