I got three sheaths covered by Sandi of the Sarki Shop, and I am very happy. They are fitted excellently and made tough. The covers also slide off if you remove the frog, so the sheaths can be returned to stock configuration. OR, you could even have a selection of covers made to match whatever you are wearing on a particular day :D

Obviously I learned nothing from the picture tutorial, but here they are anyways. Even had to use a flash to get close to the real colors, no decent lights here. The first pic shows (L->R) "body bag" brown, OD green, and khaki covers. The brown is actually a bit more brown/less red than shown.

The second pic shows the neck of the OD green cover, showing the tightness of the fit. It is literally a second skin for the sheath.

Thanks Sandi and Terry for your good work! In a month or so I'll be in toy money again and I'll be looking for more sheath covers and some quick-draw sheaths. Thanks! :D :) :D :)

Scot,
I'm really glad you like them & thanks for posting the pix. I though you did just fine taking them.

It was really nice to meet you, I wish I could have met your wife also. Maybe next time we get to see you there will be more time to visit.

Thanks again!!!!

God bless,
Sandi

Really fine looking, excellently executed scabbard covers.

And the photo quality does not deserve any apologies either.:) Seems everyone did a most commendable job here.

Hi Sandy

I like it. I am just curious to know how you do that. Do you just cover the scabbard or you take off the original leather before you put on the new sheath?

Mohd,
The cover is slipped on over the leather and is held in place by the frog.
God Bless.
Terry

I hadn't realized it before I saw the pix, but probably the cover would make it possible to wear the sheath left-handed, simply by rotating the frog and sewing the cover so the seam is on the opposite side from the leather seam.

Apparently the Nepalese have some tradition that the left hand is not to be used for certain things, but that need not concern us I think.
