So I have a little bit of extra money laying around and I was looking in the for sale section and I saw a Battle Mistress Ergo that I liked and also a Sarsquatch. I wanna purchase one but I'm not sure which one to get. I am receiving a TT KZ in a little bit so I don't know if I need another chopper like the BMe but as I said before I'm not sure because they're both so awesome. Could you guys post some pics and possibly a review of either of them?

Pics or it didn't happen! :D:thumbup:

Here is a pic of the SARsquatch for you with some other blades...

I think its a great blade and right now is very undervalued over on the exchange - they are a steal. Best bang for your buck at this point in Busse time.

SARsquatch !

like you said, you've got a KZ for a heavy chopper, the SARsquatch makes for a great handy camp knife & a good compliment to your chopper. The KZ / BM-E are closer in purpose then the KZ / squatch.

I've kept a CF Squatch in my saddle bag since Blade 08, the BM-E rides in my ruck.

already said, but with a KZ for a chopper, you would probably be better off with a Squatch.

I love the look, and they are about ideal for an all arounder mid sized knife.

Great handle ergo's. You can choke up for detail, and slide back for chopping.

Thin enough to slice, and heavy duty enough to still be a decent chopper for the size.

I love the Ergo handles. They fit like a glove, but look like a slipper. Not pretty, but they sure feel great.

SARSquatch. If you are patient, you should be able to pick up a user for close to $300.

The BME is a good knife -- if it "sings" to you, then that might be the way to go. However, they typically sell at a fairly steep premium -- the SARSquatch is a far better bang-for-the-buck choice, but the question really boils down to what you want, and how much do you want it. Personally, I don't have a BME because they're not worth the market price to me, but I own two SARSquatchs.

If ya got a TTKZ, then I'm just one more voice saying that the SARsquatch would be a better choice (that is if BOTH is not an option!!!) I like the 'Squatch and have 2 that have or WILL see use...

A 2008 Special Edition Competition Finish 'Squatch that is a great beater.

And my upscale yet practical 'Squatch clip point variant.:thumbup:

The looks of the SARSquatch never appealed to me much, but it's a fantastic camp knife that's really growing on me. It's even starting to look a little bit "pretty" to me these days. ;) (I have the same version jimmydean posted a photo of above. Same sheath, too.)

THe sarsquatch over the BM-e but I would get neither. I would suggest you find a satin and BP .220 ash to match your KZ:thumbup: Now its a little thicker than .187" on squatch.

As you can see from pic above its very similar.:) Also, for skinning the drop point is better IMO because with an upswept skinner style blade you are more prone to slicing through the hide. THis doesn t happen as easily with the drop point.

I sold off all my Squatches. I'm wondering if I should grab one back and sell some FSH's to compensate.

I liked the handle. And yeah, it's undervalued at this point b/c it didn't get a lot of excitement when it came out. ????
