Sarsquatch question please

Pretttty new to the Busse forum have an original AK and just picked up a Saraquatch from a forum member. It is the limited edition from 08 I guess it has the comp finish. I really like the knife and have ordered a Buy Brown kydex sheath and I am sending the knife to Paul Long for leather. My question is what is this knife deigned for. What was the evoulution of this design . I guess you could say what role in the Busse line is this knife made to fill. Thanks just curious for some reason I really like this knife.
 
It is a medium-sized (in the Busse world) chopper which should function well as a camp knife.

Other similarly sized (~7") choppers in the Busse family include: the Camp Tramp, the Ratweiler, and the Special Forces Natural Outlaw.

The SAR stand for Search and Rescue, and my guess is that Jerry designed this knife with some of those guys and their duties in mind.

Great mid-sized blade. I actually like mine better than the two SFNOs I have as far as chopping goes.
 
Would love to see pics of some Sarsquatches in use or any pic at all. I like leather but still oredered a kydex sheath also. Why so much Kydex in the Busse world instead of leather. Thanks

It is my second most favorite Busse I have owned. I love the feel of the handle and it is a wicked chopper.
 
JPARANEE I'm not trying to hijack. I'm pretty new here also. I just bought my first INFI CHOPPER...CG Sarsquatch! I LOVE this knife. It's one of those knives that once you feel it in your hands and once you use it you know it will never be sold. I love it that much.

But now I hear about the SFNO? What is the BIG diff in these two knives? Please help me out. 2 pics side by side would help also.

Don't have either, but the SARSquatch has a flat pommel whereas the SFNO has more of an attitude adjuster. The SFNO is usually sporting a high saber grind or fully flat ground blade and the SARSquatch is fully convexed with a swedge. The handle shapes are a little different, too.
