Any one know when the the SArsquatch will be realeased? Will it be a regular offering like the ASH-1 was?
Also does any one have the specs on the knife, specifically the thickness and color combos?

Thanx

They sold them at the show....I think they said they would never be produced again but I heard that second hand so don't quote me on that.

Maybe there will be some in the upcoming extravaganzza.

They were offered in black/black, tan/tan, and competition grade. Ignoring the handle, the blades on the Squatch and a SFNO very nearly exactly overlay, the Squatch blade being just ever so slightly longer. Have not measured mine, but would guess the blade width to be around 0.20", just about perfect for this size knife. I like the handle feel better than the SFNO, although it certainly isn't as pretty.

Mmm...might need one of those competition grade Squatches, then. Hafta see if any of my boys got extras...

There's always been a post-Blade 'ganza; that doesn't mean there always will be, but I'm expecting it to happen. If so, then SARsquatch will probably make an appearance. As to the question about whether it'll replace the ASH, I don't know if anybody except Jerry can really answer that one.

The SAR5 will never be produced again. I was under the impression that this was the only blade from the SAR family that has been exiled. The SAR4 is supposed to be a BCS exclusive. I'm hoping for a competition grade sarsquatch sighting on bussecombat sometime soon, but I've learned to not hold my breath. "Two weeks" can be a long time.

I ended up with both a Sarsquatch and a SFNO at the show and the SFNO seems thicker to me. Can someone else confirm?

I think you will see some Competition grade Sarsquatchs on the BF exchange forum soon........................................................... ;)

Well, there's already been at least one. :D

Matter of fact, there is a black\black and tan\tan there right now.

The SFNO's offered at the show were thicker than the Squatch. However, since they were all custom shop blades they may have been thicker than standard.

Confirmed. The SFNOs are thicker than standard (took a few home) ... which just might irritate our Gatman! ;)

Alright, my curiosity is piqued. Please, someone with a new SFNO - bust out your calipers!

I am sure hoping there will be a Ganzaa for these.

There will be, just wait...why pay $375 for a $287 + tax or shipping, knife?
That is stupid, but hey! it's your money Stop supporting the "Flippers"

I think you will see all flavors in the Ganza and I think more are to be made and offered for sale.

Somewhere, Jerry mentioned the SSq's being 3/16".
That's what I heard but after speaking with Jerry at Blade, I'm reminded that he tends to deliver more than he promises.

I didn't get a chance to swing it around at Blade and I've been busy today, it's not even unpacked yet but I'll try to get some chopping in later this week.

The handle might be a little large for people with smaller hands but that's the worst thing I can say about it. For me it's close enough but I may eventually get it thinned out a bit, that's the luxury of living a few miles away from an excellent grinder.

C'mon, supporting the "flippers" is the only way those of us who didn't make it to blade can pay for the trip without having to actually go anywhere!

Edit: Almost forgot, has anyone laid calipers on their custom shop SFNO's (from Blade 08) yet?
