SARSQUATCH Sheaths ?

Title says it all ...what are you Hogs using? ...pics and ideas would be helpful.

cardboard still.
i bet all of "our" sheath guys have one for a pattern. i goota order one this week.
 
Chuck (aka, Chuddy Bear) just snagged a Sarsquatch, so it seems that he'll be able to start making sheaths for it very soon. :thumbup::thumbup:

me too! I was thinking natural tan for the Tan SarSquatch and Black for the others:thumbup:

Kydex is nice but I rather go with leather or even a Spec-Ops sheath.

Bottom line is there bashful nekkid and in need of pants!:D
 
I just nabbed one off of Alex on the exchange. I plan to make something like this for it only a little BIGGER!!! :D

Timely thread,In reading threads in the exchange I hear quite a bit about various knives with Kydex marks and rubs. The Kydex is however very cool looking on most Busses. My question is how much of an effect does this have on the knives you sell or buy? :confused::confused:

Good fitting kydex will not rub much. Have to tape blade enough to leave a big enough space. I've had bad luck, gonna send one to Oku next. None of my handmades rub there kydex.


Dwayne(Leatherman) has mine, took it with him from blade. So I know he has one to go by.
 
Should fit in a large Spec-Ops no problem. I just snagged an extra off EE. Might not need it, though.

When ya get it to where ya like it and are ready to churn 'em out... I got a competition grade 'squatch that will need some pants! Lemme know, cool?? ...I forgot about bringing this up earlier and ya paid so quickly! :D:thumbup:

I wish it fit the Spec-Ops sheaths, I tried four different large style ones, and no luck!:( I'm thinking leather is the way to go. I have always been partial to the Johnson style sheaths that come with a Randall knife. I love the stone/pocket feature. :thumbup:

It WILL fit a Spec-Ops - provided you did some judicious plastic-cutting to make it fit a fat SFNO first. ;)

You won't get it to fit unless you cut a spine-relief area. And the spine relief area needs to be a BIT bigger than it was needed for teh SFNO.
