Can anyone tell me the blade thickness and the approximate weight of the Sarsquatch? Looks like the blade length is around 6.5", is that right? And overall length would be...?

Thanks in advance,
Will

Thanks a million, Bill.

Anyone have a line on the weight of the Sarsquatch in ounces?

Thanks again,
Will

The Comp Grade weighs in at 17 oz on my scale......

The coated is just about the same.

Say the Comp Grade is just a hair under 17 and the coated is just a hair over...

Just got these specs for your post in another thread. Here they are by postal scale and caliper.

17.1 ounces (with magnum micarta)
.195 thick
7 1/8 blade length
12 5/8 oal
1 15/16 width

the micarta magnums on this allow you to chock back on the handle like you would on an Ergo or Fusion handle, so you can really whip this thing around. So a thong would be a good idea for serious work.

Thank you Heavy and JWBirch--much appreciated.

Interesting that there is a discrepency between measurements on the blade length-- 7 1/8" to 7 1/2". I was interested in blade length from the front of the handle slab to the point--should have specified more clearly.

Can I assume that the front of the handle to the point is 7 1/2" and maybe the 7 1/8" measurement is from the plunge grind to the point?

Thanks again, gentlemen--
Will

ps--appreciate the wardrobe advice, skunk man. You wear your maturity well.

I measured from tip to micarta slab.

i've heard stories of jerry falling against a grinder and coming up with a 2.75" battle mistress, there will be slight variations.

Always wondered how the idea of variants got started...sounds like they may have been inspired by the johnny blue muse (or back then it may have been CBL elves). Thanks, idaho!
