Hey guys. I've never posted in this sub forum before, but I figured you guys might like to know that the SAS app is the free app of the day at the Amazon app market.

I downloaded it but I haven't looked at it yet. Not sure how good it is but it gets good reviews.

If you have a Fire (I think maybe other tablets get it too?) Amazon has a "free app of the day". It's usually crappy games, but on occasion they put up something cool. I haven't looked at it yet, but I know the app is based on the SAS military guide. It has sections for different types of environment, plus videos. Again, I haven't looked at it but I think it would be cool if you could print some of the stuff as most hardcore adventurers aren't likely to carry their tablet as part of their kit. ;)

I'm gonna go look at it right now, but it's only free until midnight so download it if you can. I usually do then just delete the crap.

Maybe I can post some thoughts in a bit but honestly, anyone in here is more likely to know way more about this stuff than me. :o

Okay I looked at it really quickly. It's based on John "Lofty" Wisemans guide so that says something right there.

Overall I like how searchable and easy it is to use, but I don't see a print option. Lots of good stuff, including how to open a victims throat in a case of obstruction or proper administration of morphine, stuff that kind of surprised me in this day of litigation.

The app might make more sense on a phone, but if you can get it free today, I recommend a look. ;)
