Well I don't think I would pack it into the woods, but it would make a handy read during a boring meeting at work!
 
excellent idea for the many people that rely on nothing but their cellphones to get out of trouble in the woods.

should be a massive hit here in the BC mountains with the city folks

I downloaded the free lite version. Kinda neat, makes for decent reading while in the truck at work.
 
Got a ton of those for the Droid as well. Recently downloaded the SOF Medical Handbook. Check out developer 'Agilus'.
 
This looks pretty interesting -- thanks.

I looked for, but couldn't find, a lite version. Anybody got a link?

Don't know what happened, when I first searched for it in the App store there was a free Lite version, now when I search it's just the full version. I guess they got rid of it. I'm pretty impressed with the lite version though, quite a bit of info contained in it. I might shell out for the full version just for kicks though, if for nothing other than the videos, seeing as I've got the book anyways.
 
Nothing bad in having useful information in cellphone. Sure, book doesn't run out of batteries but will you be carrying it around? I think this would be excellent for reading it in bus or so, trying to spend time. More useful than playing gameboy.. :D

I would buy it if I had that advanced phone.
