Can someone give me concat information for the dealer who has this exclusive?

Thank you, in advance.

CRfan, The dealer's name is Doug Kenefick. Address: 29 leander St., Danielson, CT 06239 Phone: 860-774-8929 EST 10am - 3pm.

From the June 1995 Randall Knife Society newsletter #27. Article by Kent harrison. "In November of 1977, after drawings and a wood model had been produced, the first SASQUATCH models were delivered to Doug Kenefick. The blade design was influenced by knives which had been made by Rod Chappel and the soon to be famous Gil Hibben. Special blade forgings provided a knife with an 11" blade, 2-1/4" wide from 3/8" stock. The long top edge was sharpened, and the blades were serial numbered.

Although this knife is a special blade forging, it belongs to the Randall Model #12 family, which is the bowie group. The top and bottom of the blade both curve down in what is called a recurve style.

(Apology for photo, but best I have) Regards, Rhett Stidham

Does anyone have an idea as to the approximate weight? Obivously it would vary depending on handle material, etc...

I'm guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 lbs. ?

Here is another photo:

I don't recall the weight, but it is not too bad. The sharpened top blade drops the weight down to well below what you might expect. It certainly does not feel like a khukuri.

I had the occasion to play with one of those at Paris Show 2001. Cool knife. It is not very heavy, I think a little over 1lb. I'm surprised to find out now the blade is 11", I remember it shorter...

There is a small version also listed on ebay, says the blade is 8" rather than the 11".

I'm a sucker for large recurve knives :) Looking forward to seeing one in person.
