YOU are a true BASTAGE!!!!!! Rub it in "ONE of MY 1/300's"......It's so horrible.....I tell you what, I will send you one of (my only) Factory Satins so you can see how it is supposed to look....and you can go ahead and send me that 1/300 for proper disposal:D

Made my morning fun! Ha, ha, whew... Had to show the wife the beginning of this thread!!!

OK, spill the beans. What is the name of this lovely creature who is so obviously NOT a poster girl for the Flat Earth Society ? Pete

 :D Nice 1/300! That thing is the picture of perfection! Nice avatar too !

A question.....when were the 300 made in the time-line of SHBMs? I thought they were early when the smooth bolt fastener was used? ......What about the 1/6?

All SHBM's are INFI and INFI wasn't (supposedly) used till the slotted bolts were the norn.
It's actually pretty rare to see a SHSH with half moon pommel and smooth bolts. (I've only ever seen one and foolishly passed on it).

These are just my observations and based on the fact that I don't know Jack.

It is hideous like Rat F. Avatar!!! YIKES!!!!

Isn't smooth handles a way to tell earlier models? And with more grooves cut in mean it is later in the life cycle of BMs? Were there completely smooth handled SHBMs? Then grooves between the fasteners....then all over? I am of the same school......I don't know Jack either.

Cobalt, was that the one you got from me?

Great job Cobalt. I really lik'em nekkid! Did you take the handles off for this?

Nope just carefully and slowly finger sanded it with 100 grit and moved up to 1500 grit. I am not done, but I don't feel like doing any more right now.

The 300, were the first of the SHBM's, they were the first 300. And you can break them up further into subgroups within the first 300, like the 1 of 6, which were within the first 300 and the first 100 which had the smoother handles I think. And also 50 or so that came with sharpened false edges. But they were all part of the first 300.

No, it's not. Your's had more grooves on the handles. Otherwise it is identical
