How are people finding Satin coated blades as choppers? I waiting on the mail to deliver me my first Busse.. a Satin NMSFNO that I have no intention of keeping anywhere near my other safe queens!

I also have a satin NMSFNO but haven't used her yet. I do have a satin NMFBM that I have used a few times, the scratches on the satin are much less noticeable than the coated blades I have. Plus with no coating there is less friction making it a better performer. I went with all satin on my 3 busse's for this reason. Not to mention they look soo sweet.

Satin batons nicely through wood and cleans up very well with some mothers mag polish. My first busse was a DC. My second was a satin. I will continue to only by satin. I love it as a finish. Actually I bought a pork shank for EDC in DC but for chopping and heavy use I'll only buy satin.

If i ever sell my gladius, i'm getting a satin NMFBM and i'm gonna use the crap out of it

Thats exactly what I was hoping for. I am getting a new quad and my NMSFNO within a week or so of each other so its a match made in heaven!

Satin wears in nicely but I like the DC finish on a user. Here I processed all this fat wood then quickly cleaned the blade with goof off (carburator cleaner) and a quick wipe of WD-40 (mineral oil).

Satin makes a great user. So does Comp finish (looks pretty cool as well).

I've had a few satin users. I still have three, and they are all users.

My FBMLE chopped like the dickins.
