Didn't know where exactly to post this, but, since it concerns my lusting after the Satin Battle Rat, I figured this would be as good as any.
First, thanks to all those who post the incredible photos and reviews of the Swamp Rat knives here in BF. A big thanks to Woodrat who posted photos of his SBR in action. I'd been craving a large, fixed blade knife and had looked into the regular BR. I accidentally surfed into the SBR discussion and lo and behold! A flat ground, shiny (like most Rats, I like the shiny objects), LARGE Battle Rat!!!
I had to have it!
Unfortunately, I'm such a late-comer to this crew that I never even knew it was a limited time offer.
I fired off an e-mail to SRKW and within less than 1/2 a day, had not only a reply from Eric, but also the wonderful news that, due to a cancelled order, he had one available.
Over the next 24 hours, I received almost immediate e-mail responses from Eric to facilitate my purchase. I've been on-line since the dark ages, and I've got to take this chance to offer kudos to Eric and, by extension SRKW for having the most "in-touch" customer service I've encountered (and, thank God, none of those automated "we've received your e-mail and someone will possibly send another automated response within 24 hours" replies).
Credit where credit is due.
